Las Flores (Calif.) Tesoro quarterback Devon Modster is set to decide on Wednesday. The four-star quarterback will announce his decision on Twitter at 2:22 as he makes his choice between Arizona, Boise State, and UCLA.
“I’ve been to Arizona and the visit was really fun," Modster said. "It seemed like a great school and a place where the coaching staff is looking to do big things.
“With UCLA, it’s the school that is in California and they are getting some really good players. They like me in that role where I can make some plays from the pocket, but at the same time, I can make plays with my feet. They have a history with that.
“At Boise, I really loved it there. I visited two years ago but this was a lot more in-depth and I did a lot more this time around. We did the whole campus tour, watched the team scrimmage and I spent a lot of time with the coaches. They really went all out to show me how bad they want me and I really appreciated that.”
Modster has done a good job of keeping his recruitment quiet and each school seemingly has a different feel for what he is going to do.
Should he choose Arizona, Modster would nearly be the perfect fit for what Rich Rodriguez like to do.
"They have the type off offense that needs the quarterback to be able to run and throw," Modster said. "That’s my game.“The thing about my game is when I run I can break it, but also extend the play for a lot longer and try to wait until a receiver a gets open. That is something that I’m always working on.”
No matter what Modster chooses on Thursday, he will be happy to get the process over with.
"In a weird way it will be kind of nice to get the decision out of the way and be able to start looking at things from a different point of view,” he said.
