Versatility separates Gamble

Logan Gamble is one of the most versatile players in California. Read on to see what that means for his recruitment and more.

Possessing one of the lankiest frames of any major college prospect in the country, Long Beach (Calif.) St. Anthony 2016 athlete Logan Gamble is a unique recruit.

Checking in at 6-6 and 190 pounds, Gamble is a deceptive athlete with an ability to track the ball in the air.

“I’ve always been able to get the ball,” Gamble said. “Some of football comes pretty easy for me.

"It’s never hard to keep motivation though because a lot of the best players in the country are around here. You can always measure your game.

“If on defense, I’m fast and I’m able to get after guys if I need to.”

Some of the best programs in the nation would love to sign Gamble.

“I’ve been to Southern Cal, UCLA and Fresno State, and San Diego State, Cal, Washington, Washington State and Boise State are the places that I’m looking to visit here soon," Gamble said.

“There are other places like Arizona that I’m talking with too. I’ve talked with Coach Dudek and Coach Dews quite a bit. They tell me good things and told me they are going to keep watching to see how I develop.”

Although Gamble plans to narrow his college list down at some point this summer, there is no such time frame for when a decision might be made.

“I don’t have a real idea when I’m going to choose a team," he said. "It could be the middle of the season though. It just depends where.”
