“I do a lot of sports and it‘s always been that way,” Brown said. “Right now, I’m doing a ton of track events. We have the state track meet coming on up and I’m competing in the relays as well.
"I just like staying busy and playing sports whether that is football, baseball, track or hoops helps me do that.”
Brown’s flexibility on the football field is one of his strong suits.
“The coaches don’t really know where I’m going to play and that is okay with me," Brown said. "They said they could see me playing the slot or cornerback and returning kicks.
"It just depends on how I play when I get there. I just want the chance to play and if I’m good enough I know I’ll get that opportunity.”
Rooming with a fellow Louisiana native should help Brown’s transition.
“Orlando Bradford will be living with me and that will for sure help," Brown said. "There are a lot of guys from Louisiana on this squad and a lot of us are going through the same stuff as far as trying to play and getting used to college life.”
Don’t be surprised to see this Louisiana trend continue.
“Coach Magee has a good reputation and he’s treated everybody really well," Brown said. "It can be kind of easy at times to get caught up in this state because there is just so much talent, but Arizona is showing they want good players from anywhere.”
