Santa Ana (Calif.) junior center M.J. Cage has emerged as one of the best players in the west.
His game has grown a considerable amount this season and the activity in his recruitment is a direct indication of his development.
"My recruitment has gone well," Cage said. "Things haven't been too hectic and I'm still trying to decide on a list and visit dates.
"I haven't gotten any new offers, but the same schools are after, such as Arizona, SDSU, Kentucky and a few more."
Cage has an idea of when he'd like to end his recruitment, but has not yet narrowed his options down.
"I want to wrap everything up before the start of my senior season," he said. "I want to end it then because I want to focus on the season and not have any distractions."
In order to do that, Cage is going to start looking at places to visit.
"I'm probably going to start setting up my visits in August, but it's still up in the air," he said. "I can't really cut my list yet because I haven't given everyone a fair look, but I will soon."
Cage wants to keep his focus on his game this summer and finish his senior season with a state title.
"My focus is always my game," he said. "I want to improve on both sides of the ball everyday. We're looking for a state title. It's my last run and I want to end on a high note."
