Andrew Checketts

Current Position: UCSB Head Coach

Pros: Highest win percentage in school history, proven recruiter, under 40.

Cons: Good situation, recently signed an extension through 2019, could be competition from other schools



Steve Rodriguez

Current Position: Pepperdine Head Coach

Pros: Experienced coach, has won conference five times since 2004, knows the west well

Cons: Alum of Pepperdine, could be difficult to bring to Arizona, Pepperdine may be better situation currently, has turned down bigger jobs in past.



Mark Wasikowski

Current Position: Oregon Assistant

Pros: One of best recruiters in country, has been at Arizona before, ready to be a head coach.

Cons: Not many. Arizona could want to separate from Andy Lopez, likely other competition



Pat Murphy

Current Position: El Paso Chihuahuas Head Coach (Padres AAA)

Pros: One of the best coaches in Pac-12 history, long-standing relationship with Greg Byrne

Cons: Previous violations, ASU history could rub people wrong way



Travis Jewett

Current Position: Vanderbilt Assistant

Pros: Integral part of Vandy’s national title, has been with three Pac-12 teams.

Cons: No head coaching experience outside of JC level





Ray Birmingham

Current Position: New Mexico Head Coach

Pros: Has had success at every stop, one of the best offensive coaches in the country

Cons: Could be a lifer, has only coached in New Mexico, likely does not want to leave current job



Others to Watch: Anthony Sanders, Reggie Christiansen, Dan Heefner, Casey Dunn.
