Is Colacion close to deciding?

La Habra (Calif.) 2016 linebacker Jacob Colacion recently visited Arizona. Is he closer to making a decision? Read on for that answer and more.

La Habra (Calif.) 2016 linebacker Jacob Colacion was on the Arizona campus this past weekend and the UA coaches did everything possible to impress the rising prospect.

“Wow, the visit was great,” Colacion said. “I got to see the school and I got to talk with the coaches. Coach Casteel was great. He just knows so much about the game and is so passionate about it.

"It was impressive because I could tell that he had scouted my game. They think I can fill into that WILL linebacker role and do a bunch of different things.

"The defense they run tries to get as many good guys on the field as possible. A lot of that is on the backend too, which is good for me.”

It’s been a busy couple of weeks for Colacion.

“It wasn’t just Arizona that I visited," he said. "I just got done with visits to places like Illinois and Indiana. It was cool to see those schools because they are so far out there.

"It was almost like going to a new world. Everything is bigger out there. Either way, they were fun.”

Expect Colacion to take some more visits.

“I don’t have dates yet, but I’m definitely going to get to San Diego State, Boise State and Washington State," Colacion said. "After that I should have enough time to make a decision.

“I’m definitely going to decide before my senior season. I’m not sure when it will be, but it will be before the season sometime. I’ve got some really good options.”
