Fontana (Calif.) Summit 2016 defensive lineman Jabari Watson is one of the rare, incredibly talented players that is searching out the best training he can find.
“I’m at Ground Zero right now and I’m here all the time just trying to get better,” Watson said. “Working out here has helped me take my game to the next level.
“My main priorities are to get a little quicker and a little faster. I also want to get some more moves in that area, which would obviously help me get after the passer and keep linemen off of me.”
There are plenty of schools that have noticed the 6-foot-1, 255-pound lineman.
“There are a lot of schools I’m really digging right now," Watson said. "Arizona just offered me and there are other schools like Boise State and San Diego State that are talking to me a lot more.
"I’m going to the UCLA camp here soon. That’s going to be fun. Any time you get to go to one of the LA schools that is playing good ball, it’s going to be a fun visit. UCLA is definitely a hot name right now.”
Football won’t be the only factor in Watson’s decision.
“Education will be a big part of my decision," Watson said. "I haven’t totally narrowed down what I’m going to major in, but it will be something that I’m going to take very seriously.
"The coaches and comfort level will go hand in hand as well, but those are things that I can also tell by talking with the coaches. The visits will be big for my academic concerns. Hopefully by the first week of the high school season I will choose a school.”
