Eletise is one of Arizona’s top priorities regardless of class. He will soon narrow his list down to five and we expect Arizona to make it. Charlie Ragle has done a good job of recruiting Eletise and Matt Dudek has been on top of things as well. There aren’t many better linemen in the country, so Eletise would likely be the prize of Arizona’s class if the Wildcats can find a way to land him.
Alves was recently offered by UCLA, which actually comes as a surprise when you consider how the Bruins were recruiting him before. Oregon and Wisconsin are also in there and the general feeling is that it will be difficult for Arizona to land him, though he is not going to decide until the end of the season.
Arizona leads for Cain and we think he commits in July barring something dramatic. Cain performed well at a recent camp and the coaching staff felt strongly enough to offer him. He isn’t being very highly recruited right now, but there is a chance that changes as he continues on the camp circuit. Still, Cain speaks highly of Arizona and the Wildcats are strongly in the driver’s seat here.
Arizona is hoping to hang out here long enough to possibly get a visit. We consider Merritt one of the top targets on Arizona’s board, but also not one of the more realistic ones. That is not Arizona’s doing as much as it is because the kid can basically pick his school. When you’re going against schools like Alabama for a kid back east, there’s nothing easy about it.
You can pretty much read the above and say the same for Williams. The SEC is all over him and any time that happens, other schools are usually working from behind. Like most players, the hope is to get him on campus
