Is Allen getting close to deciding?

Josh Allen is one of the top defensive ends in the country and will be visiting this weekend. Read on for his thoughts on the visit and more.

This is going to be a big recruiting weekend for Arizona and Arizona State and Long Beach (Calif.) City College pass rusher Josh Allen is excited to take it all in.

“I’m going to Arizona State on the 17th of July then after that I’m going to Arizona after that,” Allen said. “I like both schools, but Arizona is the one that stands out the most.

"I love Arizona. The scheme seems to fit me well. I love the coaches too, but that’s not a huge factor. I’m going to like most schools and their staffs that like me, but it’s more about fit on the field.”

Allen’s physical ability figures to ease his transition to the next level.

“I’m at 270 pounds right now," Allen said. "It’s been a good thing because I’m working on a new system again with a three man front. I feel that I have the strength and quickness to match up with anyone.

"I always train with the idea that I need to be able to fit into a variety of defenses and I just try to show that every time out.”

At this point, Allen is not sure when he will make a decision.

“I don’t really know when the decision will go down, but it could be soon," he said. "I could decide before my season starts.”
