“I’ve got a visit to Stanford coming up and then I’m going to get to Arizona after that,” Lightfoot said. “I don’t have the exact dates. My mom is setting that stuff up."
Lightfoot will also take visits to Kansas, Utah, and St. John's.
“I’ve always liked Arizona a lot," he said. "I’ve known Coach Miller for quite awhile and he’s always been really good to me. I obviously lived in Tucson for quite awhile, so I’m very familiar with the program and what they’re all about.
“Kansas, I have a close connection with. I’ve always been a fan and Coach Self is the guy who any player would want to play for.”
Don’t expect Lightfoot to drag his recruitment out much longer.
“I’m going to make my decision probably in late September," he said. "That gives me the time to break everything down.”
Unlike many top prospects, Lightfoot knows what makes him good, and he sticks to it.
“When I go out on the court, I’m all business," he said. "I want to compete at the very highest level and I don’t want anybody to say that they’ve been able to out compete me or anything like that.
“The move to Phoenix has really helped me. There are so many good players up here and some of the high schools are just loaded with talent. You have teams that have multiple guys that could play in the NBA and that is the kind of competition that I’m looking for.”
