Combo guard Andrew Jones breaks down UA visit

Four-star combo guard Andrew Jones discusses his visit to Arizona and future plans.

With one of the top priorities of the 2016 Arizona basketball recruiting class on campus, this was a very important past weekend for the Arizona program and it seems Irving (Texas) MacArthur 2016 combo guard Andrew Jones enjoyed his time.

“The visit went perfect,” Jones said. "It was more in depth than I had before. Before I was kind of in a big hurry and we were in the golf cart just hurrying all over the campus.

"That wasn’t the case this time. I got to see all the facilities, the weight room, the practice courts and all the stuff like that. The football game was awesome."

One of the draws for the 6-foot-4, 175-pound four-star guard is how successful Arizona has been as of late.

“Arizona is a top school," Jones said. "They are always playing good ball and they get a lot of guys who can really play. You never have to worry about whether Arizona is going to field a team filled with good players.”

Expect a decision in the not so distant future.

“I need to take the visits and have the in home visits so I can see which place is the best for me," Jones said. "I really like Arizona. I just want to see a few other places and be able to compare each team and each program.

"I don’t think there is going to be a lot more time before I can decide on which school I want to go to, but I do need to make sure that I’m making the right choice."
