Mitch Lightfoot closing in on decision

Mitch Lightfoot visited Arizona this past weekend and is now closing in on a decision.

Gilbert (Ariz.) Christian senior post Mitch Lightfoot visited Arizona this past weekend in hopes of learning a bit more before making a final decision.

Lightfoot has been to Arizona's campus plenty of times, but this past weekend had a bit of a different feel to it.

"The visit was great," Lightfoot said. "Really it answered every single question I had. I've known the coaches for quite awhile, but this was a little bit different."

One of the benefits of the visit was that Lightfoot got to sit down with Sean Miller to discuss his possible future role.

"I got the full official visit," Lightfoot said. "I got to see literally everything and listen to Coach Miller break down my game.

"The coaches told me that they like the flexibility I would bring to the forward position and the different ways I could help them."

Now that Lightfoot is done with his visits, he is looking to make a decision soon.

"I'm about two weeks out from a decision," he said. "I've been pretty consistent that I want to make a decision by the the end of October.

"I've got all my visits out of the way and the fact that this last Arizona trip was so good gives me an idea of where I stand with schools."
