Staff Predictions: Arizona vs. Utah

Arizona faces Utah on Saturday and WIldcatAuthority.com makes its predictions.

Cody James Martin: Over the last few years, Arizona has been able to own Utah on the football field, even when it seemed the most unlikely. This is going to be one of those times. Utah is still hoping to be in the playoff hunt, but has struggled under pressure the last few weeks.

Arizona will have to fight as hard as it has all season for this win, but with the season winding down and the Wildcats desperately needing a win to get bowl eligible, there should be no reason not to pull out all the stops. I think Arizona shows a trick play or two and comes out on top on senior night.

Arizona 31, Utah 24

Overall: 8-2

Michael Luke: It will be interesting if Arizona can build off the inspiring effort against a talented but soft  USC squad last week.  There is nothing soft about Utah and, in many of the same ways Stanford methodically wore Arizona down, Utah should be able to do much of the same.

There is something to be said about Richord's success against Utah, but Arizona just doesn't have enough players.

Utah 31, Arizona 20

Overall: 8-2

Jason Scheer: Arizona owns Utah since Rich Rodriguez arrived in Tucson and there isn't much explanation for it. Once again, the Utes are the consiserably better team on paper.

However, this one has an upset feel to it. Arizona has some confidence after last week and it is senior night. I still refuse to trust Travis Wilson and I think Arizona does just enough defensively to get the win.

Arizona 28, Utah 24

Overall: 7-3
