Arizona blows out Bradley despite slow start

Arizona blew out Bradley 90-60 on Monday night. Read on for a complete recap.

Arizona played poorly in the first half, but recovered in a major way in the second as the Wildcats defeated Bradley 90-60 Monday night at McKale.

Ryan Anderson put Arizona on the board with a free-throw and Mark Tollefsen got a dunk. Donte Thomas scored for Bradley and Kaleb Tarczewski then had a dunk of his own.

Kadeem Allen scored in the lane, but a three by Ronnie Suggs cut Arizona’s lead to 7-5 at the media timeout. 

Suggs scored again and Allonzo Trier made four consecutive free-throws. Suggs then got a three-point play before Tollefsen scored and Elliott Pitts made a three. A bucket by Luuk van Bree then had Arizona’s lead at 16-12 with 11:17 left in the first half. 

Parker Jackson-Cartwright made two free-throws and Antoine Pittman made one for Bradley. Anderson came back with a three-point play as Trier did the same.

Jackson-Cartwright proceeded to make a free-throw, but Pittman made two. Tarczewski and Suggs made two each, as another one from the line by Pittman cut Arizona’s lead to 26-19 with 7:40 remaining in the half.

Scottie James made a free-throw and added a bucket. Dusan Ristic scored a basket of his own, but Ka’Darryl Bell matched it and the Braves stayed within four. 

Trier made two free-throws and Anderson scored. James and Tarczewski then exchanged hoops before Suggs hit a three.

Dwayne Lautier-Ogunleye made two free-throws and Anderson made one. Davante Cooper and Ristic exchanged buckets and a score by Trier had Arizona up 39-33 at half.

Callum Barker started the half with a basket, but Anderson scored and then came back with a three-point play to put the Wildcats up nine.

Thomas and Trier both scored before Cooper and Tarczewski exchanged baskets. Trier then made two technical free-throws to put the Wildcats up 50-39 with 15:35 left in the half. 

Thomas scored, but Gabe York did the same. After a free-throw by James, Trier had a three-point play that put Arizona up 55-42 with 13:06 left. 

Ristic made two free-throws and Pittman scored. Anderson then made three from the line and Tarczewski got a bucket to put the Wildcats up 18.

Joel Okafor scored his first points of the game and Lautier-Ogunleye made two free-throws. York made a three and after a basket by Suggs, he hit another to put Arizona up 70-50 with 8:31 left. 

Trier made one of two free-throws and York hit a basket as a three by Jackson-Cartwright put the Wildcats up 77-50 and seal the game.
