Salpointe Catholic 2016 defensive tackle Justin Holt is recovering from a broken fibula, yet the Arizona commit is certain of a quick recovery.
“Everything has gone really well,” Holt said. “The doctors said that I can start doing some conditioning here shortly. It isn’t good that I got hurt, but this is something that players have to deal with and it’s not nearly as big a deal as it used to be.
“You see guys right now get injured at the end of the season and they are able to get right back out there at the same level.”
The coaching staff has big plans for Holt.
"Arizona has been great about it," Holt said. "They want me to get healed and get back out as soon as possible.
"There are some guys coming back on the front, but it’s good to get as many guys in there as possible. You look at the good teams and they have depth up front.”
In the meantime, Holt will continue to recover and improve his game.
“As far as my upper body goes, all my lifts are going really well," he said. "Before the injury, I was the strongest top to bottom that I had been in my career and I think that showed on the field. Getting to that point just makes me want it even more though.
“Also, being able to play in front of my friends and family is always going to keep me motivated because I want to be as good as possible for my team and the fans."
