The recruitment of Josh Allen has been a rollercoaster of sorts, but it seems as though the Long Beach City College pass rusher is still interested in playing for the University of Arizona.
“I’m going to visit Arizona in mid January,” Allen said. “Although that isn’t really a for sure thing because there is a way that I might be able to enroll early and if that is the case I could make a decision somewhat sooner than I was expecting. That’s kind of up in the air, honestly.”
Allen is looking forward to getting back out on the football field.
“Wherever I go it will be great to get back out in front of the lights," Allen said. "I didn’t play this season and it really made me appreciate how much I love football.
"On top of that, working out as hard as I did in that time makes me feel that I’m even more ready to go out there and make an instant contribution.”
There are three schools Allen claims are competing for his services.
“I’m looking at Arizona, UCLA and Miami," he said. "All three are really good schools. I obviously know a lot about Arizona and UCLA is right around here. Miami, with Coach Richt is also a place with a lot of good stuff going on.
“I mainly just want to find a place that needs me to come in and let me get after the quarterback and win games.”
