Like his junior college teammate Kapri Doucet, Lackawanna (Pa.) Community College 2016 outside linebacker Emmanuel Beal is receiving far more recruiting attention in recent weeks, and, as was the case with Doucet, Arizona was the first major school to offer Beal.
“What I try to do is just fly around to the ball,” Beal said. “I’ve played a lot of different positions, so playing outside linebacker now gives me an understanding of everything that goes on. I feel I just know what the offense is doing much of the time.”
Beal is still mulling his options.
“It looked for a while like Kapri and me were going to go to school together and he committed there, but then there was a change in the coaching staff so he changed his mind," Beal said.
“I got the offer from Arizona and I’m for sure interested. I don’t have an exact date for when I’m going there but it will be soon. I only have one more semester and then I’m heading off to my next school.”
Beal has taken notice of the Arizona offer.
“Arizona is the biggest offer I have to this point and I know they are looking for a new coordinator, but when I get there I will talk with the coaches and see exactly how I might be used there," he said. "It’s cool to be offered by a big conference school like that.”
