Signing Day Awards: Most Underrated

Which player does the staff feel is the most underrated of the class? Read on to find out.

Michael Luke: I think Tristan Cooper is going to surprise some people. He is a kid that did not get a lot of attention early, but usually when a bunch of legitimate schools jump on a smaller kid late, there is something there. Call it a hunch.

Cody James Martin: Jarrius Wallace should have a lot of fun in the new defense that Arizona will run under Marcel Yates. Wallace hits hard and can cover a lot of ground quickly. His nose for the ball should help if the Wildcats adapt a more aggressive style of play on defense. Wallace might not make a big splash right away, but should be a key for the secondary moving forward.

Jason Scheer: I’m a big fan of Tristan Cooper. He will automatically be one of the hardest hitters on Arizona’s defense and I think if he would have played in a bigger place than El Paso, Cooper would have gotten a lot of attention. It is asking a lot for him to contribute right away, but his tape certainly does not say two-star.
