Signing Day Awards: Best Defensive Player

Who does think is the best defensive player in the class? Read on to find out.

Michael Luke: For a kid that was flirting with a four-star ranking before he got hurt, Jacob Colacion certainly looks the part. Granted his injury probably puts him behind everyone else this coming season, but I still think he makes a big impact at some point.

Cody James Martin: Although Arizona was somewhat late to the game in recruiting Chacho Ulloa, picking him up is a huge haul for the new defensive staff. Arizona's secondary hasn't been the strength of the defense in the past, but it will be a focus moving forward and Ulloa should be a cornerstone to build around. He is a special player and his development will be one to keep an eye on.

Jason Scheer: Figuring he is going to be healthy, Jacob Colacion is a stud. He has the ability to play right away and will bring the toughness to Arizona’s defense that it really needs. It may not happen for a year or two because of his knee injury, but Colacion fits into this defense really well and I would be surprised if he does not make a major impact.
