Signing Day Awards: Best Offensive Player

Who do we think is the best offensive player in the class? Read on to find out.

Cody James Martin: Kahlil Tate is the obvious choice. The gem of the recruiting class for Arizona is Tate and I'm not sure it is even close. Having the quarterback enroll early is going to make things interesting in spring ball and if he can pick up the offense quick enough, then the competition in fall camp is going to be a hot item to watch.

Tate has all the tools that Rich Rodriguez looks for in a quarterback. The only question mark is his ability to make the read at the next level, which is not something that will be taken lightly in his development.

Michael Luke: Khalil Tate is one of the most electrifying players to sign with Arizona in the past 15 years and whether it is at quarterback or wide receiver he is going to be a player.

Jason Scheer: Originally I wasn’t going to allow players that enrolled early to be in this discussion, but Tate is too good to ignore. This category probably isn’t close, though I am a big fan of J.J. Taylor. I think Tate is going to play right away even if he does not beat Anu Solomon out at quarterback. He’s exactly what Rich Rodriguez wants at quarterback and because of that, Arizona’s head coach will find a way to get him on the field.
