Seniors lead the way in blowout of Stanford

Arizona blew out Stanford Saturday at McKale. Read on for a complete recap.

It was apparent from the early going that Stanford simply never had a chance Saturday at McKale.

Gabe York's 32 points led the Wildcats to a 94-62 win over the Cardinal.

Gabe York opened the game with a three and Michael Humphrey scored for Stanford. Ryan Anderson and Kaleb Tarczewski scored before a bucket by Rosco Allen cut Arizona’s lead to 7-4 at the media timeout. 

Anderson scored and York made another three. Humphrey got a basket that was matched by Tarczewski.

Humphrey scored again, but Parker Jackson-Cartwright, York, and Mark Tollefsen hit consecutive threes to put the Wildcats up 23-8.

Rosco Allen got a bucket and Anderson made two free-throws. Humphrey scored, but Tarczewski also made two from the line.

Malcolm Allen made one of two free-throws and a shot by Dorian Pickens cut Stanford’s deficit to 27-15 with 8:03 left in the half. 

York nailed a three and Pickens made two free-throws. York proceeded to make a free-throw, as did Trier. Trier then added two more and Arizona led 34-17 with just under four minutes left in the half.

Trier and Tarczewski made a free-throw each. Marcus Allen hit a three and Humphrey a two. Anderson then made two free-throws and a bucket by Marcus Allen and Anderson put the Wildcats up 40-24 at the half. 

Tarczewski scored and Rosco Allen made three free-throws. York then hit a three and Verhoeven got on the board.

Tarczewski got a dunk and Rosco Allen made one free-throw. Trier and York proceeded to make consecutive threes to go up 53-30 with 16:11 left.

Rosco Allen made a free-throw and Marcus Allen scored. However, York proceeded to make three consecutive three-pointers and Arizona went up 62-33 with 13 minutes left.

Rosco Allen made two free-throws and Anderson got consecutive buckets to give Arizona a 66-36 lead with 11:25 remaining.

York made a free-throw and Rosco Allen scored. York made three free-throws and Humphrey hit two.

Dusan Ristic scored and Jackson-Cartwright made a three. Humphrey then scored, but a three by Trier put Arizona up 36.
