Murrieta (Calif.) Valley 2017 wide receiver Maurice Bell is one of the fastest rising juniors in California, and he believes much of that results from his work ethic.
“I’ve gotten a lot better these past few season months,” Bell said. “I haven’t been doing any other sports, so I’m totally focused on football. I know what I need to get better at.
“Things like working on my breaks and getting in and out of my cuts need to be tightened up a bit, along with just getting faster.”
A plethora of teams would love to acquire a hard worker equipped with talent like Bell.
“There is a list of places that have been consistently recruiting me," Bell said. "I’ve taken visits to to Colorado, Nebraska and Iowa is coming up. There are other places that I plan on getting to, as well.
“Arizona has been recruiting me. I will probably get out there as well. It’s early though. I’m still trying to figure out where I want to visit.”
Bell knows exactly what he desires in an ideal program.
“The big things for me are finding a place that has a really good communications department and team where the coaches have an exact idea on how they want to use me," he said. " Whether that is in the slot of the outside. Academics and athletics will matter a lot.”
