Few players have improved their stock more in the past few months than Mableton (Ga.) Pebblebrook point guard Collin Sexton, and, not surprisingly some regional and national powers are pushing for a commitment.
"Right now the teams that impress me the most are Alabama, Texas, Florida and Arizona,” Sexton said. “I’ve already been to Alabama and I am going back there again. Then next week I’m going to Florida. I want to see Texas soon as well.”
Expect Arizona to make the 6-foot-2 2017 point guard a priority recruit.
“The Arizona coaches have been talking with me for quite a bit, but they recently offered me," Sexton said. " I know Coach Miller was watching me and then they offered me.
"They’ve been incredibly complimentary of my game and they want me to take a visit out there as soon as I can. It’s not exactly close, so I have to figure that out.”
Sexton is going into his visits with an open mind.
“The big thing for me is I want to play for a coach that I trust and who knows how to make me a better player," he said.
"I’m going to decide sometime this summer, so I hope I can find the right fit in a school with the coach, team and a school that has a good business department.”
