Arizona prioritizing Warren Jackson

Warren Jackson is one of the bigger receivers in the country and Arizona has made him a priority. Read on for the latest.

Mission Hills (Calif.) Bishop Alemany 2017 wide receiver Warren Jackson is one of the more underrated players in California, but a player that the Arizona coaching staff has prioritized.

It's no surprise that there are other teams also recruiting Jackson.

“The teams that are recruiting me that hardest are almost all teams in the West,” Jackson said. “Besides Arizona, the other teams that seem to be interested are Colorado, Colorado State and Iowa State.

"I’m going to see all of those places and hopefully I like what I see. I don’t want to limit any of my possibilities.”

Jackson recently visited Arizona and came away impressed.

“Getting an offer from Arizona was really cool and the visit was a lot of fun," he said. "They have some new coaches there and everyone went out of their way to make me feel comfortable.

The 6-foot-5, 165-pound receiver likes the potential fit at Arizona.

“I liked how the receivers are used and I like how the coaches coach there," he said. "There are bigger guys, but also smaller guys and fast guys along with quick guys.

"I feel I’m kind of in between there, but seeing how their receivers are used made me feel really comfortable about their system."

Jackson's next goal is to get stronger.

“Being a big guy, it’s always good to see how guys that are my size are used," he said. "Arizona has a good track record with players like me.

"It’s going to help too, because I’m already up to 196. I would like to have that around 210 by the time I hit college. I want that to be good weight, though.”
