In a move that should not come as a surprise to anybody, Arizona officially announced the transfer of Elliott Pitts on Tuesday.
“Elliott Pitts has informed the athletics department that he intends to transfer from the University of Arizona for the upcoming school year to continue his education," Sean Miller said "We wish him well in the future.”
The reason for Pitts' absence was never truly clear and Miller declined to give any detailed comment throughout the season. He only appeared in seven games last season for a high of four points in 28 minutes against Boise State.
Pitts' transfer was made even more clear this week when Arizona added Keanu Pinder and Dylan Smith to the fold, thus leaving the Wildcats with no open scholarships.
