Buena Park (Calif.) 2017 offensive tackle Ryan Nelson is the type of mammoth offensive lineman that tends to be in short supply for most teams and he is starting to be recruited as such.
“I’ve been to Arizona and Arizona State already,” Riley said. “Both the trips were fun. More so than anything it was an opportunity to meet the coaches. They all think that I could have the opportunity to play early because of my size and that I’m familiar with the schemes going on."
Even though Nelson has already visited both schools once, there is a good chance he will take another look.
“I could easily see myself going to both places again," Nelson said. "I liked what I heard and I also would like to see what I can differentiate between the schools.”
Nelson is going to tour some other places here in the near future.
“Virginia and Nebraska have been on me for a while about getting out there and I’m going to do that," he said. "I don’t know a ton about Virginia, but I know that Nebraska has been recruiting a lot of the kids in my area and they are developing a pretty good reputation here."
As of now, Nelson is still in the planning stage of his recruitment.
“Other than those visits, I’m still trying to figure out where I want to visit," he said. "I think I will look further into a lot of places I’m interested in in the next couple weeks.
“I don’t see myself deciding soon. I haven’t analyzed my situation as much as I would have liked to, but all these teams are recruiting me and I want to hear them out.”
