Dallas Advanced Preparatory five-star Trevon Duval is arguably the best point guard in the class and his summer has demonstrated why.
“It has been a pretty decent summer,” Duval said. “We have one of the top teams. I think I have been playing pretty well and getting my teammates involved and what I need to get my team the win.”
Duval will have his choice of schools and is currently listening to each of the ones recruiting him.
“I am taking it slowly with each school,” he said. “I am weighing my options and listening to what coaches have to say.”
One coach that is aggressively recruiting Duval is Arizona assistant Book Richardson.
“I talk to Coach Book as much as possible,” Duval said. “He checks in on me with school, life, basketball, and everything really.
“He thinks I would do great in the conference and the west coast with its up and down style of play.”
There isn’t one specific piece of criteria that Duval wants in a school, but he knows what to look for.
“I am looking for how the coaches are and how they deliver their message,” Duval said. “I will know when a place is the right place for me.”
Visits will certainly help Duval figure out which school is indeed the best for him and it appears location won’t play a factor.
“I don’t have any visit plans, but I know I want to take some once everything calms down,” Duval said. “Everybody recruiting me is in the running for a visit. Ideally I would visit all of them.
“I’m from the East, but I like the west coast and I play school in the South. I think I can pretty much adapt anywhere.”
