San Diego (Calif.) St. Augustine 2018 forward Taeshon Cherry is seeing his recruitment pick up, which isn't a surprise when you consider his development.
“UNLV, Virginia and Florida State have offered me lately and it seems that Kansas is getting pretty close,” Cherry said. “Getting a Kansas offer would be great and I’m just happy to be in this position right now.
"I’m getting a lot of new offers and sometimes it’s schools that I haven’t even thought about."
As of now, Cherry had two visits set up.
“The only visits I know for now that I’m going to set up are Texas A&M in a couple weeks and then I’m visiting Florida State in a couple months," he said.
One school that has offered and is aggressively recruiting Cherry is Arizona.
“I talk with Coach Miller at least two times a week when it's allowed," Cherry said. "He basically just says that they think I’m a really good player and that I would be a good fit as a forward in the type of system that they run. Everything I have heard from them has been super positive."
As Cherry goes through the process, he knows what he is looking for in a future school.
“I just want to go to the place where I like the coach and even more I get along with the coach," he said. "I will know it. I really believe that.
"I’m going to take some time and find the best place and where they have a good business school. I will be able to decide by the beginning of my senior year.”
