Arizona makes Jaylon Redd's cut

Jaylon Reed recently cut his list to eight and Arizona remains an option. Read on for the latest.

Rancho Cucamonga (Calif.) 2017 corner Jaylon Redd is one of the highest rated available California recruits and has a final list of schools that indicates just that.

"Oregon, USC, UCLA, Nebraska, Arizona, Arizona State, Notre Dame and Michigan are my remaining teams, Redd Said.

"I'm going to make my decision on September 25. I've got the list of 8 schools now and I'm going to take as many visits as possible before then."

Redd currently has two officials planned and wants to take other visits as well.

"I've got two visits set up right now," Redd said. "I'm tripping to Oregon and then Nebraska on September 22. There are a ton of players from my area going up for that game, so I'm excited to see that.

"I've got six other places that I need to try and get to. I'm for sure going to take all five visits and go from there."

Arizona hopes to receive a visit from Redd.

"Arizona is a school that is going to be there for me because of Coach Donte Williams," Redd said.

"He's just cool. We've developed a pretty fast relationship and I can imagine playing for him because he just feels like a natural guy."

There are a couple different priorities for Redd when considering future college football destinations.

"I like multiple schemes and I like coaches who put their corners into positions to make plays," he said. "It's cool that a lot of different coaches think I can play on defense and offense, so I'm looking for the best fit for a lot of different things."
