White Plains (NY) Archbishop Stepinac forward Jordan Tucker is one of the more versatile players in the country and feels he has proved that this summer.
“The summer has been going well,” Tucker said. “From EYBL to Peach Jam to the last week, I think I have progressed.
“I’m not trying to prove anything. I know I am getting better and becoming more of a complete player and the other things will take care of itself.”
There are numerous schools throughout the country that have taken notice of the 6-foot-7, 205-pound four-star’s improvement
“Maryland, Arizona, Indiana, Syracuse, USC, and Villanova are the main schools recruiting me,” Tucker said.
“Duke is an offer I really want. They have watched me and told me they might offer, but nothing yet.”
Tucker has developed a relationship with Book Richardson, who has made his pitch clear.
“Arizona tells me my ability to score and shoot and spread the floor is perfect for their system,” Tucker said. “It’s perfect for the conference because it is a scoring conference.”
The Wildcats are among the schools hoping to make Tucker’s list when he cuts it down.
“I know my list, but I have not announced it yet,” he said. “The biggest factor was my relationship with the coach and I want to play good minutes the first year.
“I want to make sure the school has a good point guard that wants to win and gets others involved.”
Even though Tucker has his list of top schools, his busy summer isn’t forcing him into anything.
“I am going to rest for a week or so because it has been a long summer and then I will figure out when and where I want to take my visits,” he said.
