Gerald Liddell in no rush

Gerald Liddell has a connection to Arizona. Read on to see what it is and why it could be a difference maker in his recruitment.

Cibolo (Tex.) Steele five-star 2018 forward Gerald Liddell will eventually have offers from some of the biggest schools in the country and it appears his recruitment is getting closer to that point.

“Wichita State, Cal, North Carolina, Duke, and Kentucky are starting to talk to me,” Lidell said.

“I think they are close to offering me because they went to my games, so it is up to me to prove I am good enough.”

Arizona was just one of the schools that recently went to see Liddell and the 6-foot-6, 175-pound forward acknowledges the schools that have watched him in action.

“My family and coaches look and I keep them by my side throughout the process,” Liddell said. “They help me listen to what all of the coaches are saying and they will help me evaluate all my options.”

The Wildcats have built a strong relationship with Liddell and have one favorable advantage.

“My relationship with Arizona is really good,” Liddell said. “I am from Arizona, so that’s a plus. I am always talking to Coach Sean Miller and we’re continuing to build a relationship.”

Relationships will play a major role in Liddell’s decision.

“I will choose my school based on if I have a tight relationship with the coaches and if the school has good academics,” he said.

“I think academics are always key. Also, I want to make sure I will have a good relationship with my teammates.”

At this point, Liddell is in no rush to make a decision.

“I don’t have plans, but I am going to try to see as many schools as possible,” he said.

“I am going to let the process run as long as possible because I don’t want to make a decision off emotions, I want to check these places out and see what they have to offer.”
