Torrance (Calif.) Archbishop Montgomery 2018 shooting guard David Singleton is already one of the better scorers in the nation and regional schools are already involved in his recruitment.
Single recently visited both Arizona and Arizona State and came away impressed with both.
“I was at the Arizona State team camps and I got to play against some other possible college players,” Singleton said. “It was fun. I got to see a little bit of the campus and then I went to the University of Arizona.
“Arizona speaks for itself. The school is nice and so is the team. Coach Miller talked with me for a little bit. He said they like how I play and that I can help them in a bunch of different ways. It sounds like they are pretty interested."
The Arizona schools are not the only ones involved with Singleton.
“Arizona, Arizona State, Oregon, Gonzaga, Colorado, Boise State and USC are probably recruiting me the hardest," Singleton said. "I’ve been to almost all of these places, so I have kind of an idea of what is going to be there.”
Singleton is still focused on progressing on a day by day basis.
“All of this doesn't matter if I don’t get better," he said. "I would say the best thing about me is my work ethic and that I continue to get better. I play with good players and they all push me to get better."
At this point, Singleton is in no rush to end his recruitment.
“College decisions are a ways off," Singleton said. I'm going to see if I can make my decision right before my senior season or in the middle of the season. It’s not a huge deal, but I’d like to make a decision sooner.”
