The Hawaii game was an enjoyable experience for UA football fans and, and from the sound of it, the recruits at the game had an enjoyable time.
“It was a pretty cool visit for a couple different reasons,” said Buena Park (Calif.) 2017 offensive lineman Ryan Nelson. “I got to spend almost the entire time with the coaches, which was unique.
"They talked to me about campus life and the kind of things that I can expect and then they told me how much they liked how I play and that I’m the kind of offensive lineman who can move and play in an up-tempo style.”
Nelson noticed first hand everything the UA coaches were talking about.
“One of the first things I realized about the Arizona offense is that, man, they’re in and out of there super quickly," he said. "You’ve got to be in really good shape and that’s what they expect out of their players.”
As of now, Nelson isn’t sure where his recruitment will go from here.
“I’m going to Virginia this coming week and then after that I think I’m going to set up three more visits, but I’m not sure when," Nelson said. "I don’t have any idea when I’m going to choose a college, so there isn’t a ton of pressure on me one way or the other."
