Arizona’s momentum continued Thursday as it received a commitment from Santa Monica (Calif.) Crossroads forward Ira Lee.
Lee took an official visit to Arizona for the Red and Blue game this past weekend and most insiders thought he would become a Wildcat.
Back in August, Lee discussed some of the reasons why the Wildcats were high on his list.
“Coach Miller offered me when I was a freshman and he has been telling me I am an all-around forward with a motor that can do it all,” Lee said. “That is what he sees me as and that is what I could be at Arizona.
“I have been there about three times and I am from Arizona, so that is home for me. I feel comfortable there.”
His finalists were Arizona, Oregon, and California, but the UA coaching staff consistently did the best throughout his recruitment.
