Arizona had an easy time with Sacred Heart on Friday as it won 95-65 at McKale.
Dusan Ristic scored the first points of the game and Lauri Markkanen followed with a bucket and two free-throws.
Joseph Lopez scored for Sacred Heart and Rawle Alkins got on the board. Quincy McKnight got in the lane for a bucket before Markkanen and Lopez scored.
Ristic and Lopez exchanged buckets as Ristic and Mario Matasovic did the same with Arizona leading 14-10 about five minutes into the game.
Kadeem Allen made one of two free-throws and Chance Comanche added four consecutive points to put the Wildcats up 19-10 with 11:56 left in the half.
Ristic made one free-throw and followed it up with a bucket. Parker Jackson-Cartwright then scored and Charles Tucker matched it.
Markkanen got a basket, but Matej Buovac hit a three. Jackson-Cartwright proceeded to make two free-throws and a layup to put the Wildcats up 31-15 with 7:55 remaining.
Keanu Pinder scored and Kobi Simmons got two consecutive buckets. Sean Hoehn then hit a three, but Comanche and Simmons scored again.
Pinder then got a dunk off a lob out of a timeout and the Wildcats extended their lead to 43-18 with just under four minutes left in the half.
Tucker made two free-throws and Lopez scored next. Alkins got a bucket and Comanche made two from the line.
Buovac nailed a three and Alkins responded with two free-throws to give Arizona a 49-25 lead at the half.
McKnight scored to start the second half and Markkanen made two free-throws. McKnight made two of his own, but Alkins came back with a bucket.
McKnight then had a three-point play and Alkins scored. Lopez made one free-throws, but Simmons scored two straight baskets.
A layup by McKnight then cut the Arizona lead to 59-35 at the media timeout.
Alkins made two free-throws and Jackson-Cartwright hit a layup. McKnight and Jackson-Cartwright exchanged buckets before Pinder and Ristic scored.
McKnight scored again and Ristic got a layup before a three by Buovac put Arizona’s lead at 71-42 with 11:30 left.
Comanche and Lopez both scored before Simmons did. Cole Walton got a bucket and Alkins made two free-throws.
Markkanen proceeded to score eight consecutive points to put Arizona up 85-48 to over five minutes remaining.
