2001 Hall of Fame inductees

In a ceremony Friday night at 7 p.m. at the University Marriott Hotel, The University of Arizona will induct seven former players along with the 2001 softball team and 1993 men's 200-medley relay team into the Hall of Fame.

The 2001 UA Softball team finished 67-4 and won a sixth national championship.

The 1993 UA Medley Relay team, with members Robert Abernathy, Seth Pepper, Todd Newman and Mike McQuitty won the national championship.

Chad Carvin was the 1996 USOC Swimmer of the Year and a silver-medalist at the Sydney Olympics.

Jenny Dalton Hill was a four-time All-Pac-10 second baseman and national softball Player of the Year in 1996.

Pat Jackson was an early pioneer of female sports at the UA. She participated from 1948-50.

Glenn Parker was All-Pac-10 offensive tackle in 1989 and has played many years in the NFL He was with the Buffalo Bills for many years and is currently a member of the New York Giants.

Martin Pepper was the 100-meter butterfly national champion in 1993.

Khalid Reeves led the UA Basketball team to its second-ever Final Four in 1994 and finished his UA career as the Wildcats third-leading scorer.

Albert Sye was a member of the UA Wrestling team from 1971-74.
