2018 Arizona Running back Watch List

We take a closer look at who Arizona may target at running back.

Brown fits in well with what Arizona does because he is a downhill runner and gets to the outside well. Arizona hits the Oceanside/San Diego area hard and Brown already has an Arizona offer with legit interest. Only issue here for Arizona is a bunch of other schools will offer sooner than later as well.

Bracy is a good athlete and can play a variety of positions, but his best one may be running back. He already holds a handful of offers and has had some preliminary contact with Arizona. Definitely a prospect to watch at this point.

If Arizona is going to attack Texas more, this would be a good start. Baylor and Houston have already offered and the Longhorns will take a long look at him. Arizona will probably offer at some point, but this won’t be an easy pull.

http://www.scout.com/player/207373-maurice-washington?s=73

Washington is one of our favorite backs in the class and we’re not the only ones considering that he already has offers from Ohio State, Georgia, and USC. He can attack teams from the back field and could legitimately play wide receiver as well if he wanted to. He’s a long shot at best when you look at his offer list.

One of the best backs in the west from one of the best schools, Flowers will have his fair share of offers in no time. He runs with authority and although he is more of a power runner Flowers has some speed as well.

http://www.scout.com/player/209297-demarcus-townsend?s=73

Arizona dips into Florida every year and Townsend could be a target. He is a freak athlete and has advanced footwork. We’re not sure if Arizona has contacted him yet, but we like him enough to keep a close eye on him.

http://www.scout.com/player/212823-kenyon-sims?s=73

Once again, if there is a good player in the San Diego area, Arizona is going to know about him. Expect Arizona to evaluate Sims at the very least.

With T.J. Pledger gone, Van Buren is going to get plenty of attention. He already has an offer from Boise State and that won’t be his last. At this point, Van Burns may be one of the more underrated backs in Southern California.

http://www.scout.com/player/207821-jawhar-jordan?s=73

Arizona has definitely talked to Jordan already and he may be the best running back in the state. Oklahoma State is currently his biggest offer, but expect Arizona to recruit him with an offer more likely than not.

http://www.scout.com/player/207368-jerome-ford?s=106

Ford was one of the first players in the class that Arizona offered and schools such as Louisville and South Florida are involved as well. Florida recently visited him, so the Gators are a factor as well. Arizona will try, but it won’t be easy.

http://www.scout.com/player/208461-trey-lowe

Arizona would love to land Lowe, but we would be very surprised if it happened. Expect Washington, Stanford, and Oregon to be the three involved, though the coaching staff is going o give it a shot.

http://www.scout.com/player/209865-kyle-jones

Arizona has a connection with Upland, so you can expect Jones to get a close look. Personally we would offer and think Pac-12 schools will catch on.

http://www.scout.com/player/206840-max-borghi

Borghi lived on Colorado, but is now at Pomona. Colorado State offered him when he was in the state and once other schools get a better feel for Borghi, he will get more offers. At this point, we think Arizona is relatively close.
