Phoenix TE Adding Offers, Has Cats in Top Five

Although the Cats already have a tight end committed in Travis Bell, it would be pretty tough to turn down a player like Andrew Pettas if he wanted to come to Tucson. Pettas is now up to six offers and has received a plethora of calls since Monday night. He attended UA's Senior Day earlier this Spring and will probably also make an official visit.

Last year Pettas caught 28 passes for 483 yards and four touchdowns. He also garnered 102 tackles on the defensive side of the ball.

However, his future is definitely on offense and that is where his offers are coming for. He boasts them from Arizona State, Oregon, Washington, UCLA, Arizona, and Northwestern.

"My top five are ASU, Oregon, Washington, UCLA, and Arizona. My top two are ASU and Oregon."

Since the First he has heard from Boise State, UCLA, ASU, UA, Washington, and Oregon. He likes what the Cat coaches are telling him about his prospects if he were to come to 'Zona.

"I don't know much about Arizona but from what I do know, and what they tell me, they do a lot of things in their offense to get the tight end the ball."

Pettas attended Senior Days at UA and ASU this past Spring so he is familiar with the campus and surroundings. He only has one visit scheduled at this point and that will be to ASU on October 4th.

Pettas carries a 2.9 core GPA and has scored an 880 on his SAT. He would like to major in Sociology. His first game of the season is tomorrow night versus Greenway.
