Arizona guard Allonzo Trier has told Scout.com that he will return for his junior season.
Trier missed 19 games last season due to a suspension, but averaged 17 points and five rebounds in his return. Sources say that Trier wanted to be confident he would be a first round pick should he enter the draft and without those insurances, decided to come back.
Should Trier put together a strong season, he would certainly challenge to be drafted in the first round next year and at the very least, be in a much better position than he would have in this year's draft.
In addition, Trier is now one of the front runner for the Pac-12 Player of the Year and will be in the discussion for national accolades as well.
