Santa Monica (Calif) forward Ira Lee is close to graduating and although he is in different classes as 2018 forward and Arizona commit Shareef O’Neal, Lee is excited about continuing the relationship.
“I got to know Shareef pretty well this season and he's going to fit in perfectly with us,” Lee said. “He can play a bunch of positions and is really athletic.”
Lee and O’Neal only played one year together, so Lee is curious to see how O’Neal performs without him.
“I'm still getting to know how he plays and everything but I'm really excited to see him play,” Lee said.
“Shareef and I were able to feed off of each other and I thought that we fit in well together at Crossroads.”
Lee has seen his high school career span over a few different high schools, each offering a unique experience.
“It was different playing against really good players at Prolific Prep,” Lee said. “It was more of a college type feel.
“At Crossroads we knew that we would play good teams and be able to beat some of them. I also got better my senior year, but I am excited to finally get to Arizona."
