Redshirt freshman Jalen Cochran announced his transfer from Arizona on Tuesday. The three-star lineman came in with high expectations and would have likely been a part of the rotation this season.
However, sources say that Cochran became homesick and despite others trying to work him through it, the 6-foot-3, 240-pound lineman decided to transfer.
Cochran did not participate much in the spring due to concussion issues, but there was not much worry about how that would impact him this season.
Arizona is still in pursuit of Dereck Boles and Gaelin Elmore, two players that could decide this week. Even if Arizona lands just one of them, the loss of Cochran would be offset.
