Beau Davis is off to a great start this year going 46-80 on passes for 813 yards and seven touchdowns, with two interceptions. His team, Venice, is off to a 3-0 start and are simply destroying opponents. Since Beau is the head man at a program receiving a lot of recognition it is only natural that he is beginning to get a lot of recruiting attention. He took a weekend visit to Tucson and has the Cats in his top six. "> Beau Davis is off to a great start this year going 46-80 on passes for 813 yards and seven touchdowns, with two interceptions. "I plan to check out the campus and facilities while I am down there," said Beau on Thursday. "My parents and I are going to meet with the coaches while we are there too."

Coach Long is recruiting Beau for the Cats and is apparently selling him on the program.

"It is a nice school with an up-and-coming program. It also seems like their quarterback position isn't solid since they are playing some freshman so that is attractive to me. They are also the school recruiting me the hardest right now."

Other than Arizona, Beau likes UCLA, Nevada, Washington State, Washington, and Oregon.

'Zona and Nevada are the only schools that have called Davis this month. However, he did attend a UCLA practcie where he met with the coaches."

Beau attended Carson(Calif.) for half the season as a junior before transfering to Venice and the wide-open, passing offense they run there. It seems as if the switch has really helped him.

"Going to Venice has really helped me with my ability to read defenses."

In addition to reading defenses, Beau lists his arm strength as one of his best attributes.

Davis carries a 3.4 GPA and scored a 720 on his first SAT attempt. He took it in the 10th grade but will take it again even though he qualifies under new NCAA elgibility rules. He is undecided on a major but is thinking about either Liberal Arts or Architecture.

Venice faces Granada Hills next.

He has no visits scheduled at this time so we will check back with him in a few weeks to see if that has changed and also to get his impressions on this past weekend's visit.
