The big man was on campus Saturday for a visit. He was seen touring McKale Center after Arizona's 85-75 win over MArquette. Like any recruit the Wildcat coaching staff cannot comment on his recruitment. Officially there is no word on his status, or whether he will indeed join the team.
Radenovic is 6-10 and reports vary on his weight, but it looks as if he is in the 210-220 range. According to scouts, Radenovic is on pro scouts' radar screen and that he is a player with great "upside".
He's 19 years old and will be a freshman when he enrolls. He would have 3 ½ years of eligibility remaining.
Radenovic is close with Phoenix Suns' big man Zarko Cabarkapa and may have been in the state for some time.
Rumors of the team's interest have been around for some time, but the Wildcats' need for a big man intensified in since the injury to Isaiah Fox. Since he went down against Florida the Cats have been left with just two scholarship post players.
He would give the Wildcats nine scholarship players. His arrival would not necessarily end Chris Dunn's involvement with the team, but it is an indication that they are prepared to go on without him. Radenovic's arrival could also impact recruiting. The Wildcats are awaiting work from forward prospects Davis Nwankwo and Robert Rothbart, but with the arrival of Radenovic and Isaiah Fox's extra year of eligibility, it remains to be seen how their recruitment is affected.
