A closer look: Arizona over Saint Mary's

Arizona had to come from behind for the second straight game. The Cats used a 15-2 run to close out the game and finish off Saint Mary's.

Channing Frye led the Cats back in the second half with 17 points in the final 15 minutes. He finished with 26 points and nine rebounds. He was 10-19 from the field and 6-8 from the line.

Channing Frye's 26 points were a career high. His previous high was 25 against USC last February. He also set a career high with 19 field goal attempts. Salim Stoudamire had a career high seven rebounds and tied a career high in free throw attempts (11) and free throws made (9). SEASON LOW
Arizona attempted a season low 10 three-point attempts. Their previous low was 18 against Texas. Their low last year was 12, which they did twice.

BATTLE OF THE BOARDS
Arizona was outrebounded for the second time this season. Saint Mary's had a 42-39 advantage.

NICE STAT LINE
Andre Iguodala had 12 points, eight rebounds, five assists and no turnovers. He assisted Fry on the go-ahead bucket oFf a ball screen.

Arizona finished the game on a 15-2 run. They outscored the Gaels 19-4 over the final 4:53.

WEST COAST CONFERENCE
Arizona hosts a WCC team for the fourth straight season. They played Gonzaga last season, Pepperdine in 2001-02 and both Gonzaga and Saint Mary's in 2000-01. All time, Arizona is 23-13 against WCC teams and are riding a six game win streak. Arizona is now 3-2 all time against the Gaels.

COMEBACK KIDS
For the second straight game the Wildcats have had to erase large second half leads. They trailed by 15 to Marquette and by nine to Saint Mary's.
