On the loss at Washington:
"The team played extremely hard from beginning to end, and they made a lot of big plays. Our coaches had them ready to play, and they fought hard all the way through. We can't change the score, but the team made a positive step forward. We played a very good football game.
"Johnny Jackson intercepted a pass, we batted down two passes, and we had a sack behind the line, so it was a matter of being in the right place at the right time. I think our players felt that they had earned the right to be in the game, and those kinds of plays put us in a position to win."
On Cody Pickett's performance:
"(Cody) Pickett threw a couple of perfect balls. He is still a little tender, so they ran a quick throwing game, and they gave him maximum protection to make sure that he didn't get hit. When they did try the option, we covered it every single time. We had four interceptions, but we also gave up a lot of yards against him. Winning the turnover battle was a big part of the game, and that put us in a position to win the game."
On quarterback John Rattay's performance:
"A lot of times when a quarterback comes in like that, it makes it a little tough because you have to limit your game plan because he hasn't worked as much with the plays during practice. But, he used his legs well, and I think he did as well as can be expected coming in under the circumstances."
On quarterback Jason Johnson:
"Jason was playing so well, and he was right on. When he threw that second touchdown pass into the corner of the end zone, he had a guy right in his face. He was having a great game."
On Arizona's injury situation:
"Johnny Jackson is home now. He had what you would call a whiplash, where you just whip back, but the x-rays came out negative. He had an MRI, but that too was negative. He also had a mild sprain in his knee, so I would say that he is doubtful for this week. It is possible that if he is feeling better, he might be able to go, but we can't count on him returning this week.
"It looks like Mike LaCoss is going to require surgery, and he looks to be out for the rest of the year. It was his knee and a possible ACL. We are not even sure if he was involved in a contact play when it happened."
"Reggie Sampay is questionable to doubtful for this week. He hurt his shoulder and ankle."
"Jason Johnson and John Rattay both received concussions, but I expect that they are going to be able to return this week. They both will be under observation, and we will be careful with them during the week. John (Rattay) also had to get some stitches on his chin."
