A Closer Look: Arizona plucks the Ducks

Arizona runs its win streak over the Ducks to three after being swept by Oregon just two seasons ago. The Cats limited one of the best scoring teams in the nation to just 66 points and only a trio of three pointers.

PLAYER OF THE GAME
Ivan Radenovic. The freshman had a career high 19 points and added eight rebounds. He had 11 points during the decisive 18-0 run.

PLAY OF THE GAME
After an iffy goal tending call against Channing Frye, the Cats stormed up court and Andre Iguodala found Mustafa Shakur behind the Duck defense for a thunderous alley-oop slam.

NO PATIENCE FOR MISTAKES
Just :57 and two possessions in the game, Lute Olson called a timeout to make defensive adjustments. The Ducks got wide open three pointers on their first two possessions.

FAST START
The Wildcats his their first three shots, while Oregon made 2-3 to start the game. Oregon's first four field goal attempts were three-pointers.

GOOD TO SEE
Saddled with foul trouble in the first half, Salim Stoudamire spent the majority of his time on the bench. He did not sulk and instead was the first player to come out to congratulate his teammates during the 18-0 first half run.

SPURTABILITY
All eight of Mitch Platt's eight first half points came in a 3:09 span where he was he lone Duck to score.

SEPERATED AT BIRTH?
Mitch Platt bears a strong resemblance to Danny Masterson who plays Hyde on the television show That 70's Show.

KEEPING IT UP
Arizona added to it's NCAA high scoring average. They averaged 88.7 ppg coming into the contest and their 90 points boosted it ever so slightly to 88.8.

SHUT DOWN
The Ducks average a NCAA high 43.1% from behind the arc, but shot just 30% on Sunday. They are second in the nation with 9.6 threes per game, but made just three against the Wildcats. In fact they only attempted 10 in the game.
