"I'd say Arizona and Texas are my top two," said McGinty. "I like that Arizona has Stoops as the coach now. He is a very good coach. He will probably do the same thing for them as he did for Oklahoma. They are also in-state and I could be by my family."

Ryan's Mother and Grandfather were UA graduates.

Ryan also lists USC, UCLA, and Arizona State amongst his favorites. He plans on going to the Texas camp in June and also would like to attend camps at UA and ASU.

He has received early "feeler" letters from Michigan, Kentucky, Texas, Northwestern, Auburn, Illinois, Colorado, Washington, and Oregon.

When asked to describe his greatest attributes as a player Ryan responded,"I have great vision and lateral speed. I also have good hands and am a strong hitter with good tackling form."

Head Coach Wayne Jones at Mountain View says of Ryan,"He has a great nose for the ball and he has great speed."

McGinty carries a 3.75 core GPA and will take his SAT in March. He would like to major in Kinesiology or Physiology.
