Another Wilkes Coming Up

He's the brother of current Kansas Jayhawk Omar Wilkes and the son of former UCLA and NBA great Jamaal Wilkes, and now 6-10 junior Jordan Wilkes is starting to get some recruiting interest himself...

We spoke with Jordan Wilkes, 6-10 JR C Los Angeles (Calif.) Loyola, recently and asked him about the schools that have been showing interest in him lately.

"USC, UConn...those are some of them," said Wilkes.

We asked Wilkes if he had noticed any coaches recently at games or practices and he replied, "UConn sent an assistant to my school a while ago."

Wilkes said that while a lot of schools are showing interest at this point, none have made formal offers just yet.

Wilkes has been to a few schools unofficially. "I've been to UCLA a lot, USC, Princeton last September and I went to Kansas to see my brother," said Wilkes.

Previously, Wilkes told us that his GPA is around 3.5. He plans on taking the SAT in June.

CAT TRACKS' ANALYSIS: Wilkes apparently is interested in Arizona, but as of now the interest is a little one-sided. The Cats are well aware of Wilkes, but need to see him more over the summer to determine whether or not he is "Arizona good".

He comes from a great basketball family and has a lot of upside. A big summer could have him rise up the big man ranks.
