"I like Washington, Arizona State, Michigan State, Notre Dame, and USC," says Shawn. "USC would be my early favorite. I really like California."

Byrnes has already received letters from Washington, ASU, Notre Dame, Michigan, and Miami.

What about the home-state Cats?

"I was invited to their camp last summer but I have not heard from them since. They haven't sent anything yet this year."

Shawn will attend the ASU camp for sure this summer and is not sure on others at this point.

He feels he will be recruited as an offensive guard.

On the field Byrnes lists his strengths as his aggressiveness and technique.

Shawn carries a 3.0 core GPA and is about to sign up for his SAT. He is undecided on a major.
