"I had a chance to meet with Stoops and I really liked him," said Borg. "I really like the UA strength and conditioning program. Everything was real nice. It was neat to see all of it. The fact that the defensive tackle from Oklahoma (Tommie Harris) is training in Tucson with those coaches, when he could be anywhere, really says something about what they have going on."
Borg says that his family has no preference on where he attends school.
"They are not putting any pressure on me. The decision is up to me. They just want me to go somewhere where there is a good football program and I can get a good education."
He has been living in Tucson since he was nine.
"I have never been a die-hard UA fan, but I have watched a lot of their football and basketball games."
This summer, Daniel plans on attending the UA, Stanford, and Washington team camps. He also plans on going to either the Eugene or Palo Alto Nike Camp. He says attending more Pac Ten team camps could be an option. The Cardinal, Beavers, and Huskies are showing him the most attention at this point.
When asked to describe his strengths on the field Borg responded, "I think I have good feet and am athletic for my size. I think I am a better pass blocker than a run blocker at this point, but I am working on it."
Borg currently obtains a 4.1 GPA on a five-point scale and scored an 1180 on his SAT in January.
